Big pharma companies have paid BILLIONS in fines for damages (deaths, disfigurements, permanent disabilities) and fraud. But they still continue on and make a handsome profit, those fines don't even sting. Pfizer increased their revenue from 2020:$40B to 2021:$81B to 2022:$100B. Luckily, as people are catching on, 2023 revenue was "only" $58B. They only had a 2% increase from 2019 to 2020.
There's so many drugs with black box warnings that doctors aren't even aware and freely prescribe them (ex., the antibiotics Levaquin and Cipro). Watch "DopeSick" and "Painkiller" about the opioid crisis and Purdue Pharma to get an idea how they work WITH the FDA to continue harming people to maximize profits.
Ooo Evil Levaquin🛑BAD DRUG🛑2009 my long time pcp prescribed it for a sinus infection. (had always previously been given Azithromycin with success) Taking Levaquin began a painful 2 years of misery & inconvenience. Levaquin tore a tendon in my right shoulder immediately within a week! Ended up with a cascade of pain, surgery, complications from meds, developed diverticulitis from being constipated from pain meds Oxycontin & Oxycodone (was uninformed & told “all women are constipated.”) thrush from antibiotics. Months of PT. It was a nightmare. When I asked Dr why she prescribed it, she said sheepishly, “Oh, well, the sinus infection was ‘deep’.”
🙄That had never been my history.
I know NOW, these many years later, doctor was just a pro$titute in the big pharma temple of worship! Fortunately I soon moved out of state & never returned to her. I extend sympathies to all who’ve suffered similarly. Lord have mercy on us all.

Man, that's terrible and the tendon thing is exactly one of known the adverse reactions. I hope you're doing well now. 💗
