Flax oils cannot provide the basis for stablization of manic tendencies.

DHA, the main stabilizing omega-3 fatty acid will be inadequate. That may be helpful in unipolar depression, in high enough quantities. It is certainly worth a try if a depressed person has no family history of bipolar disorder on the side of either parent.

This may be a history of heavy alcoholism in many cases, instead of "Bipolar" diagnosis.

The link you provide is not to data about omega-3 fatty acid therapeutics, but to cancer treatment.

Again, we will have to agree to disagree. I see it otherwise!!! How do you know the Fish oil you purchase is not farm raised?

Carlson is not farm raised. Norway and other scandinavian countries have a long history of responsible fishing, and hae particular shoppers.

Again, be a careful buyer.

This Carlson product and the Nordic Natural products work very well for people in my extended experience, since I began prescribing them as medical treatments in 2007
