The corruption of academia is an old story (see Betrayers of Truth, Wade, 1983), but collusion with government seems fairly new. Corruption like this is an assault, and assaults only stand when allowed. Functional societies restrict assaults and quickly punish the perpetrators. Our society's tolerance shows a degraded society much worse than the individual assaults. Until we begin punishing these criminals, at all levels, it will continue and will increase. Nuremberg time.

We'll know there's hope for our society when the Brazillian senators who complained about Flavio to the world court are themselves hauled into the docks to answer for their own role in this disaster. Nuremberg time.

Lawyers are going to be busy cleaning up this mess for a long time. Nuremberg time.
