He was the leader of the legal resistance since the onset of the Covid war, and one of the finest men I knew. A letter to Warner Mendenhall, 1962–2025.
Pierre, with those kind, open smiles, you and Warner could easily have passed for brothers. Who would have thought that morality would show similarly in the countenance of two unrelated by blood? On second thought, of course it could.
That was a wonderful tribute. He had a heart of gold and was so selfless. I too met him first in Phoenix. Hard to miss a guy with a big smile on his face in the hot tub in the late hours being the life of the party.
Just was able to get time to read this wonderful tribute. I knew of Mr. Mendenhall’s work from following Grace Sahara’s story. Didn’t know your involvement. Thank you for that. You warriors tried so hard to get justice for her. But God has used her murder to save others and to open the eyes of us to what happened and is still happening.
This was a fantastic write up, Pierre. I was Warner's legal assistant, and I met you a few times. He spoke so highly of you, and I know you were one of his truest friends. I am thankful for doctors like you who are honest, and interested in treating the individual patient. Warner may be one of the leaders in freedom when it comes to law, but you're just as important. Be well!
Wow. This broke my heart for you, his family, the rest of his friends and colleagues and the world. Yes, Lord, please send more Warners. And Pauls and Pierres!
What a heart wrenching tribute. He sounds like an absolute rock star of an individual. So sorry for your loss…. and the world’s. Thanks for putting out such a beautiful description of your mate and his incredibly unselfish and talented life Kory.
Dr.Kory, your profound loss resonates deeply with me, and I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy to you for living it ,losing a true friend. These types of cuts run very deep, because what we lost is irreplaceable, is a cruel reality that is part of our lives .
All is left is the preservation of these principles you mention and trying to leave by them to honor what is lost.
It is the only way to cope with the hurt, and God, do I understand the disappointment coming from seeing two systems damaged by luck of integrity and greed and corruption to very core of their existence? For having been a part of these two systems in my life, I know firsthand how damaging is at individual scale but also at larger, social scale.
Warriors like you and your beloved friend have made it more bearable, and that is comforting. You must have that peace in your heart because you and your friend, gave us hope when nobody else would, and that is truly remarkable. And that is a life well lived.
